Architectural/Commercial Wood Doors and Frames, Steel Doors and Frames and Door hardware (Hinges, Door Closers, Flushbolts, Locks, Deadbolts, wall stops, floor stops, overhead holders and stops, exit devices, coordinators, push plates, kick plates, Hospital Latches, thresholds, sweeps and weatherstrip)
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
Owner worked in this career field for 17 years for similar businesses. Then started Commercial Door & Specialties, Inc.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
We have a great deal of expertise and experience in our field. Commercial Door has an Architectural Hardware Consultant on staff. We also fabricate custom exterior stile and rail doors out of solid lumber (multi-layer)
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
1 location at 2525 Dyess Avenue; 17,200 square foot.
Provide detailed directions to your location
Leave I-90 on Exit 60. Go North approximately one block until you reach Mall Drive; Turn Right (East) and go for 1 1/4 miles until Mall Drive intersects Dyess Avenue. Turn Left (North); five blocks will be the corner of Seger and Dyess Avenues. We are the Gray and Dark Gray Building 80 ft x 200 ft on the corner of the two streets. (16 foot Commercial Door sign on front of building)

Mastercard, Visa, Amercian Express, Government Smart Cards, Checks, EFT and Cash
Which areas do you service?
Our installation and maintenance service area is 225 mile radius from Rapid City. We send/ship products to any of the contigious 48 states in the United States.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
See website-multiple managers are available for separate commodities.
What are your hours of operation?
Monday through Friday 7:30 AM until 4:30 PM. We are closed for New's Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, the Friday after Thanksgiving and Christmas. If a Holiday falls on Saturday- we take the Friday before off. If a Holiday falls on a Sunday- we take the following Monday off.
